If it wasn't for birds I would not wear them. Not really sure how to introduce sounds when natural sounds cause problems
I think a lot of people don't even see these profile posts. Let alone general chat. When I first got on here didn't know any of this was here
I definitely don't recommend syringe your ears. Have a new sound ever since. Sounds just like wind blowing through a cracked window
Chiro appointment today. I think it's a tens unit they put on your back with a heated towel, pretty relaxing
I've read of spikes from neck adjustment. But as you do it more it helps. I told her I don't want the. Neck cracking. Gives me the hibby jeebys
I landed my first job as a building surveyor literally 2 weeks before my T hit. I patched the job obviously. Don’t know what I’m going to do now, but I can’t visit construction sites, that’s for sure. Just wanted you to know I’m in the same boat. Not a fan of computers either.
I work in conversation. Very quiet. Museum work has turned out to be the perfect career. However, when I’m working with buildings, then it can be noisy. Object conservation is much quieter.
Not gonna lie @makeyourownluck ,but a building surveyor sounds like an awesome career. Sucks you can’t pursue it anymore…
Even while wearing them. Probably etd related. But sure like the protection over plugs. But that might be I can never get plugs in right
@Marshall what do you do for work? I use to work construction well that's out the window. Trying to find something else
Probably man, it definitely isn’t super comfy wearing them, but I’ll take that over worsening. I’m in the military man
Reaching out to H champions. I recently had a couple loud noise exposure.which have happened before but the ache feeling would
Got a Prednisone pack and ears syringed. I don't know about the syringe. Said I had stuff up against the ear drum, sure felt weird
Can't offer much support man, other than to say I'm experiencing same, so am there with you in spirit.
After 16 months of t and h. I feel like I'm at the bottom again from a slamming door and wonky hearing aid screaming.
Unplugged everything in the house still heard it. It's starting to hurt the bad ear. Desperation sets in!
While sitting and relaxing I hear this high pitch sounds. Just thought o great. But the gf goes can you hear that to?
@Rockman I have about 20 of those events a week lol. I do notice though less events means happier T and H
I swear some of my ear pain comes from the eardrum. It feels just like you pull out an earplug to fast.
Ok, you know which model? Every time I try to wear muffs. They never seem to seal. When you turn your head let's sounds in
No Kings games today, but I'm rooting for the Preds. I want to see a Calgary/Nashville playoff series.
Ok what's the difference between ldn and naltrexone. On the web it's says it's the same thing. But on here say they take them separately?
Yes, LA Kings. Do you go to games anymore or is that off the table? I've been pretty depressed not being able to go to games.
Every strange. Must be eustachian tube related. I have a similar thing but not quite as loud as a clap.
Sure takes a long time to do the dishes. Dishwasher broke down so doing by hand. Holy moly 2 hours later. Delicate process
Its tedious but just washing the stuff right after you use it for cooking/eating seems to be the best. it repetitive but to me at least smaller doses of dishes is better than the imposing skyline of plates stacked atop one another.
Consider using disposable paper plates for the time being. Less dishes and you save yourself a lot of time.
I vote for paper! Loudest noise will be chewing. My washer use 3 hours the clock says.., I’m suspicious it’s a little bit more...
@Exit I only had it in the autumn, when i was so bad that i couldn't sleep anymore. When things get out of control , that tone appears.
And it's very hard to get back to " normal" when I am in that state. And by normal i mean my everyday T that doesn't affect my sleep that much.
