Are you getting random ear pain or pain with sounds?

@Wrfortiscue just canal ache that my ear plugs can touch apparently thats Neuralgia or something sometimes random little pin pricks

My friend doesnt have hyperacusis or tinnitus gets ear pain its nerves she has to take gabapentin

Maybe your earplugs are irritating your ear canals then? Mine used to ache from the pressure of the foam pressing against them. Now I only use them around shopping carts, then switch to customs.
