I would say no. If you drove in England, the road are so piss poor, that if the occlusion effect was damaging in anyway, your ears would be completely screwed. Our roads here are the butt of a National joke.

Shelby, you need to not worry so much about whatever comes your way. Anxiety and constant worry will probably do way more damage than every little sound. I say this with the best intention. Obviously don't go to a metal concert unprotected but try to lower your shoulders and worry less. If something is insanely loud you can take measure, but every small thing is not worth fussing over. Thanks everyone for chiming in :) I don’t typically wear plugs driving anyways even though my cabin is fairly noisy online cause I don’t drive long enough to warrant it
