Hi @Josh1994. Hope you are doing well. I was just wondering how you have found site visits? I was training to be a surveyor before my tinnitus onset. Now I don’t know what to do.

Does survey require you to be on site while construction is active or can you adjust hours? I think you should finish your studies and move forward. We tend to freeze up out of fear of exacerbating the tinnitus. But I'm afraid that is a problem we will be navigating the rest of our lives. The best thing I've done for myself is to continue working.

Thanks @BrOKeN_1, it’s definitely fear that is stopping me. I really love the subject.

I do think sites would be unavoidable in most roles, part of which is consulting on ongoing projects and interacting with contractors. Although, I am far more interested in surveys of existing buildings, conservation in particular. If I could choose my projects I would be fine, but with no experience in surveying it’s unlikely.

Hoping @Josh1994 can shed some light on the amount of time spent on site.
