I bought a facial steamer with a compartment for essential oils.

I have oily skin so it’s a two birds, one stone situation. Although, it’s definitely helping my skin more than my ears.

I wish we could see into my ear. I just want to know what the problem is lol.

@makeyourownluck Same here, I have oily skin too. So I was congested from Covid. My left ear got clogged up..Steamed up intensively using a bowl of hot water and towel around head (with olbas oil). It eventually unclogged itself. My skin looks good too now, but probably not as good as yours though. You got that silky smooth skin i bet.

Hi I just saw your audiogram ( high frequency hearing loss ) and you said that you regained some of your upper frequencies. How long did it take? I have the same problem right now. Sudden hearing loss (3,5 hz - 6hz 20-30db)

Ah, I have never been told there is a +\- 15dB range. That’s a huge margin of error!

Very odd, the audiologist who took my last results said that she has only seen improvement on an audiogram in cases of sudden hearing loss (w/wo steroids). She suggested I may have had Covid.

I think we should choose to believe it’s recovery, good for the mental health :)!

I am not so anxious about my T, it’s the ear fullness. Yesterday was horrific, anytime I swallowed or moved my ear I had physical pain. Gone by this morning. Just going to sit in a quite room while my daughters at nursery.

For moderate-severe folks, you won’t forget entirely, but you’ll have good stretches of forgetting it here and there. The brain eventually gets bored of constantly paying attention to it every hour of every day. Brain will find other stimulus to shift its focus on.

@makeyourownluck. Each ear is different. T is one-sided. Loud low-bass rumbling, with PT in background being it's motor. Seems -behind- ear, reverberating via bone conduction so strong at times throughout body, alike a live electrical current in water. Both ears are very reactive to sound.

You and me both @UKBloke. I will update my hearing loss thread with my audiogram from July next year before the loss and see what people make of it.

My GP has actually been quite good. They have issued about 3/4 urgent referrals since last year. Updating it every time new symptoms appeared. We are both at a loss.

I will upload my ENT letter that was sent to my doctor. She gave me a copy of it the other day.

T has really changed my personality. Things that bothered me before no longer seem important. I’ve became really chill. Something positive.

To be fair though, for a 5 year old she is very careful with cutlery, glass and ceramic. She knows they hurt my ears.

Yeah man, I was in a car crash (low impact). I would usually be upset about the damage. Instead I just told the person not to worry about it. I was just happy my ears were fine.

My passenger was not happy with my small beep, and reach over me to blast the horn for 10s. I could kill them. Lady didn’t hear it anyway!

Someone reversed into my car. I beeped the horn quickly but they didn’t hear me. It was low impact on driver side door.

My T is caused by hearing loss, genuine structural damage. Will it lower in volume eventually. It’s getting to me today.

Pulsatile tinnitus just the same, spiking with every change of position/action. Trying to push doctors to realise T and PT are not the same thing. I’d have more luck trying to squeeze a mushroom into a piggybank.

        It can take a while.

In my case it wasn't until a couple of years after onset.

Then I had a setback; so took another couple of years again after that.

@makeyourownluck urgh, sciatica. I used to get it a lot until one day, I changed jobs, and realised it had been caused my the stool I was sitting on. :-/ My friend had sciatica so bad, he ended up having a back operation to release the nerve. And sorry you suffer from anxiety- that sh*t is the worst. :(

@Steph1710 how did your friends operation go? I’ve been struggling with sciatica for over 2 years now and I’m toying with the idea. Trying to figure out why Valium helps though, maybe a tense muscle somewhere, but I’ve done PT/stretching for months with no results.
