@kingsfan its my left ear too. So, so many tones. I can’t even begin to count them all. My worst is the awful high pitched bird chirp that comes back every time I have a noise trauma. Two Saturdays ago my stepdad dropped a bottle of milk on to the wooden kitchen floor next to me. It was SO LOUD. Suffice to say, that chirp is back with a vengeance. It’s stressing me out quite a bit tbh.
Seems to be a left ear thing as mine is doing the same. Mine is on and off like a police car you can hear coming in the distance. Reacts to certain noises too. Just under a week since it flared up and want it too bugger off.
Do you hear yours over sounds? @Steph1710. :(
Bad left ear club. Except for me, it's partially by choice. When I need to hear things, I almost always unplug my left ear. My right ear always felt more fragile since the beginning of tinnitus, idk. So, my T sounds more "harsh" in my left ear.
My left ear too, although I have T in my right too. The left has typewriter, ringing, airplane engine, and sometimes a glimmering glass sound (hard to describe).
@Strawberryblonde Mine was originally one 4khz tone that split into 3 different tones all between 4 and 6khz. Then static behind them .
Now I have added high frequency metallic static hiss, another tone that bounces all over and sounds like my ear is tuning through morse code channels (not the morse code …
@Strawberryblonde …but the sound of the radio bands), and a third that sounds like the electronics alarms that go off in Best Buy (I'm not sure if you are familiar with that, but I don't know how else to describe it).
Tones, tones..are we talking tones? Holy fuck do I have a chorus. How is it even possible for one damn ear drum to make so much fucking noise? It's got to be a neuro issue first and ear damage second. Its both ears here. WTF.
@kingsfan hey, I am working on my doctorate. I just passed my qualifying exams, so I'm now a candidate. It's hard and at times I think I'm doing too much with teaching college also. I have to really watch my stress levels. I think having a goal does help keep the focus off the T/H.
