Getting sudden flashes of light in my peripheral vision. Lots more eye floaters too, although i had them before. Anyone else with this?

Flashes aren't a good sign. When it happened to my mum she was asked to come in immediately because they suspected retinal detachment. If you're wearing glasses and seeing an ophthalmologist regularly anyway, give them a call, so somebody who knows what their doing can offer you an opinion.

Began noticing how my hearing loss, even if minor, makes understanding speech in noise so much harder. So depressing to feel your body fail

@Joe Cuber I don't know but I'll be asking my audiologist at the end of the month. Definitely open to the idea even though my hearing loss is mild

Afraid of making T and H worse... but also afraid of regretting not doing anything while I still can even though it's a long shot

Common mindset. I know the feeling. But in the end, is it rationale fearing something that might not happen? Yes, you might get a minor spike or setback, but unless you do something "stupid" its temporary. Im just speaking out of my own experience. Fear in itself is often our worst enemy.

Have the possibility of doing steroid shot in T ear. almost 3 months since trauma, mild measurable HL (25-30 @6k). Should I?

No. The ENT does them regularly, even the PAs, but they required hearing tests that for sure would make me worse. I was more afraid of the tests than the shots. :(

@MaxRabbit luckily i have a preexisting hearing test that shows loss in my affected ear. really hoping they help some too, even though i'm trying to stay realistic since 3 months from onset is a long time for these to still be effective.

Sending you love and support right back <3

Neurotologist mentioned NAC (which i'm taking) as well as COQ10 for H. Any H sufferers with experience with COQ10?

@Rockman sorry for the late reply. I'm taking magnesium biglycinate, 3 x 140mg a day

Switch to Magtein. Its the only formula that crosses blood barrier. Its magnesium with l-threonate. The glycinate can cause some issues (digestive)...look it up. Safe dosage 400mg daily.

Appt with a neurotologist today. No breakthrus (as expected) but she seemed to care and told me there's no such thing as overprotecting.

So thankful for all the knowledge on here. Feeling a positive impact on my H from systematically plugging up outside.

Trying to find the balance between protection and overisolation...shit's hard. Can't say I find much sound soothing these days
