Wow I've become one the most worst cases of Tinnitus around. Can't wash my hair or run my head without reaction and spiking eventually. H

I'd say to put them all the way in for the earplugs because that lowers occlusion and the opposite makes occlusion worse, but ear muffs are miles better to wear. Like the X5A's by example, no need to worry about wax build up or ear infections with those.

Sorry you are going through all these things @Mal25. Are you on any medication? Are you seeing anyone about all this? You are not getting enough sleep and that is a big factor with T. We are all here and we are all battling our own battle. You are not alone.

Second what @Joe Cuber says. Sleep is the most important thing when ot comes to T. If I don't have a good sleep then the next day is usually a bad one.

So also my legs have weakness and arms sometimes too so he yes I'm losing patience when I can't even talk without nerve pain and people talk for me and make appointments. Also when I eat I cannot eat anything crunchy or hard rattles my ears and makes em sensitive and when I swallow even soft foods

If it's autophony, it has most sounds to be abnormally and uncomfortably louder. A booming, echoing sense inside ears, alike being enclosed inside a small thin-walled container. Is this what you have?

after my biggest setback everything hurt and i couldnt even click a pen withouth being in pain. My pain also used to be so bad it spread throughout my face and kept me awake at night luckily it went down. I still have H but i can do alot with a foam earplug in. I couldnt even talk with foam earplugs in 4 months ago now i can talk alot withouth them. I hope my case gives you some needed energy Mal.l.

My auditory gain or autophony is so loud and idk why is it the hyperacusis doing this or me protecting my ears. I can hear clicks and pops in my ears and chewing and breathing is really loud. I can't even talk without nerve pain. I've contemplated offing myself several times.

Im working on this too...best i can gather is simply allowing your ears rest, dont over protect them with earmuffs/plugs in your house and slowly exposing to outside sounds again. A quiet night or early morning is best to do this.

I also have read that speakers hurt our ears and if you need volume to buy good high fidelity speakers. I just got one, Ill try it out later and see if I can tolerate it. My other cheap speakers tear my ears up. When this 1st hit i was able to watch things that relaxed me, Then the reactivity started. Hopefully I can relax again watching stuff with the better sound speaker.

Is patalous eustachian tube dysfunction causing autophony or is it hyperacusis? When I chew hard foods it's so loud. Breath loud too.

    Tinnitus Since:
    06/2022
    Cause of Tinnitus:
I think maybe cervical instability issues
I'm a 42 year old male from Texas. My tinnitus started about a month and a half ago with pressure in my ears and vertigo and nausea and brain fog. I suspect I had a patalous eustachian tube dysfunction, cervical instability or autoimmune thing going on. I'm a fashion Designer I have my own clothing line Hyperacusis has been my biggest battle. Lately I'm losing. I have pain in my neck and ear seems like a nerve issue but connected to sensitivity when I go around loud place currently I hear it through my earplugs and pain ensues all the way to my shoulder. I heard occipital Neuralgia can cause sensitivity. I used to like music, boxing, working out and video game exclusively Mafia City lol also love chess ♟️.
