This sounds very unsafe to me.

However I would keep it at the ready, just in case of intruders.

That would be hard to answer @Hamsti, seeing as I don't find my own comments funny. But I guess if I wasn't me, I'd start laughing somewhere around the second full stop.

As for the gift, I probably wouldn't use it (for the same reason I don't use an electric toothbrush).

Will it cause actual damage though? Unlikely.

I've been travelling on London buses now for over 30 years, and they're basically all just giant massage guns.

Yeah, my husbund held that thing against my back and my whole body and head shaked...and my panic followed soon. Oh I hate that fear of everything, its quite as crippling as tinnitus itself.

    Indeed @Hamsti.

I quit using an electric toothbrush because of the anxiety it was giving me (wasn't suffering spikes).

My advice, if you want to keep the gift, is to use it for short periods, and increase those periods over time. And If you notice a significant spike at any point, then just sell it.

Thank you @Damocles, Spike is here, not sure from the fear or what else. T is atop everything, the last to nights I heard orchestral music and buzzing as if a had headphones on. I hear barely anything else. In a dark place right now.

Sorry @Hamsti. Not good to hear. So some musical tinnitus also?

Let your ears rest, until the spike disappears.

And don't worry, exciting treatments are on their way. Just got to be patient.

I just got one as well. What did you decide or what have you noticed so far?
