    Ears are achy and kinda sore a day after but gonna keep pushing it little by little.

    It seems after loud Setbacks my ears also gain more sound tolerance after recovering

    @Sammy0225 do you experience hyperacusis? If u do, pain or loudness H? And has it been improving? i heard NAC in 1200-1800mg doses can be an OTC for hyperacusis .

    Yes I have H no pain just loudness to some stuff, typically high pitch voices sound louder. I’m treating it with sound therapy which has been helping. I can do dishes now without ear protection, actually I only use ear protection like 15min most in the day now. I have been getting achy ears but I’m assuming it’s cause I’m pushing my ears to tolerate more sound

    I have noticed the humming coming from the AC has almost a distortion like a tuning fork sound but I don't care cause I know as soon as the AC goes off the distortion goes away.

    @Sammy0225 is the tinnitus reacting/spiking to AC? I struggle with mine always reacting/spiking to heating system.

    @ErikaS hi Erika!
    Yeah I noticed yesterday it was spiking it but I fought through it and went back today and did it again and it seemed agitated but not as much. I think this is the road block lots of ppl stop at cause the fear of making it worse but I’m gonna push it, once it’s completely calm standing next to constant 65DB I’ll up it up to 70DB (:

    @Moni97 thanks! The phonophobia is also calming down as I’m doing sound therapy it seems to also be calming my startle reflex of everyday sound! I firmly believe sound therapy is my ticket out of reactiveness and phonophobia {: I know it’s scary, but I have to push through it, weather the tinnitus likes it or not I’m gonna slowly push its comfort levels ^.^

    @Moni97 that's good! keep drinking the tea I find warm tea to be relaxing too ^.^ at some point in time you'll notice that your T, is calming down that was my sign that it was ready for sound therapy {: start slow and just know this isn't forever there is a light at the end of the tunnel

    @Sammy0225 Im trying! Though I find I’m most anxious when I wake up. And my T actually has calmed down the last few days I think. But it’s my H and sound distortions that are still kicking my butt, but I’m trying to be positive ^-^

    @Jackson Brady since we become hyper aware of everything with this condition unfortunately phonophobia eventually comes along. I can say it will go away slowly as you start feeling comfortable around loud sound again. It’s gonna take a few months but your startle reflex needs time to get out the fright response mode. You’ll notice a big difference once you start sound therapy

    Oh no definitely not!! The phonophobia will pass eventually but from what I've been noticing is has been calming down with my anxiety and fear of sound. Target anxiety to help with phonophobia cause that's mainly what it stems from
