I remember the metallic. Not a fan either. It put me massively on edge for a long time. Ask @Chinmoku he knows. I will argue I may have one of the most fluctuating T's on this forum, but the metallic sound disappeared eventually. I pray it will for you too.
@Lurius@NYCGuy I hope I’m describing it correctly, it’s like metalic pure tone. Before just a static like hiss which was annoying enough, now metalic pure tone which is more piercing and intrusive. Like why would it get worse sounding? So freaking unfair.
You could try some hearing aids/maskers. Audicus is a good online one. They have really good customer service. Someone on this forum referenced them on a post. They have a new line up since I bought mine. They now have lithium rechargeable models with Bluetooth.
Is so unfrair, during day I can go by but at night seems I hear the hiss and morse code on the other ear, but that morse code goes to full EEEEE very very loud and is like painful.
@ErikaS, you could try the Shulman protocol and take .5mg Clonazepam plus 300mg Gabapentin twice a day. That’s what I’m back on after a Zoom session this week with a psychiatrist.
@just1morething I am throwing functional/natural approaches at this with all I have first. Working with functional med doc, doing Neurofeedback, and TRT consult on 25th. I will exhaust all of those before doing any more meds. I’m already on .25mg Ativan a day and 7.5 Remeron at night. My goal is to improve to a point to wean the Ativan.
@Erika, I understand. I felt great today but am very tired tonight. Meds can have their downside. They can be a bit dangerous when driving. I was on Remeron years ago but I thought I had weight gain if I remember right. Not sure of the dosage though.
