Isn’t that the truth. Spent most of today trying to convince my family and medical professionals that what’s happening to me is real and it’s not me being a hypochondriac or “anxiety health”. I’ve been in tears about it for hours. Idk what’s worse, the condition or the way everyone treats you because of it. :(
unfortunately when you tell people about your noise sensitivity they look at you Like your crazy. I’ve told my family that my ears are super sensitive and to please be mindful. They took it as a joke and continued to be loud so I simply cut them off. I’m so sorry @Moni97 they simply can’t comprehend the seriousness of the situation
@ErikaS Oh man it was beautiful out there Erika my rental was right on the beach everyday day I would wake up and sit on the patio looking at the beach waves. I was 3 story’s up so I had an amazing view <3
I know the feeling of seeing your spouse enjoying life, movies, music, food and having to live like a prisoner in your own body. I hang on to the hope everyday that this isn’t forever.
I told myself that as soon as I feel better, I’m taking myself on vacation. Rent a beautiful AirBnB somewhere peaceful and calming and just allow myself to feel alive, not this constant struggle for survival that I feel everyday.
@ErikaS@Jackson Brady@Moni97 when y’all have a chance give @Coffeebean last few post a look. He had a very similar case of tinnitus like us. Unfortunately he no longer visits the forum but he made it out with little to no help from any audiologist I’ve been following his past comments as guidance.
