1) Buy (and bring) your own "MRI safe ear defenders", as the ones the hospitals provide are the equivalent of wearing a pair of Mickey Mouse ears for the scan.
2) Make sure the earplugs you wear are foam and properly (deeply) inserted.
don't expect much. its highly unlikely you have anything that shows up on MRI, however its good to check. If they DO find something, keep calm also. a family member has had an acoustic neuroma for years. they're not life threatening.
DEFINITELY BRING FOAM EARPLUGS. The protection they give you is pure garbage.
