    I’ve gone back to this sadly :( I told my partner it’s like I’m sitting in a computer server room with different beeps, and tones ugh •_•

    I think of it as my ears/brain trying to recalibrate. It just hasn't settled on a tone it quite likes yet!! If I don't laugh about it I'll cry :)

    @Strawberryblonde I try to tell myself that since it’s not dead set on a tone permanently, it means that it can change, and if can change maybe it can run out of gas eventually, and if that happens maybe it will go to quiet whisps of air sound some day.. wishful thinking all the way :)

    @Sammy0225 I feel like we have the same damaged/inflamed outer hair cells and confused brain

    I feel like that's what's happening since it's not yet to a stable tone it's fluctuations could be a good thing. I might have been more worried about a constantly high pitch that never dropped in volume. Are you in quietness all day or do you watch TV , music and do stuff at the house normally? @ErikaS

    Mine fluctuates so much I mean I can be spiked one second and soft and non intrusive minutes later with and without sound

    @ErikaS I feel you. Have this for about a year. Sometimes it’s better and I have only 2-3 sounds not too reactive. With setbacks it becomes 5 sounds for several weeks (1 of them is a crazy siren). I don’t pay attention to them anymore. What is killing me now is the hyperacusis.

    @Samy I'm the same

    Two somewhat reactive tones

    and with setbacks 4/5 all highly reactive tones: depending on the setback 7 days for reactivity to chill and another 7 for newer tones to fade

    @Sammy0225 I am able to do stuff around the house normally minus vacuum and blender. TV is on low in background a lot of the time, and I can do kitchen noises pretty well.

    @Sammy0225 I don’t struggle with actual hyperacusis like sounds sounding louder or causing any pain, but continuous noises will make T go higher in frequency and crazier. But like @Wrfortiscue, mine can also just randomly go higher frequency/sound more intrusive with little to no sound input.

    @Wrfortiscue I wonder what causes that?? It’s such a mind ef. And you’d think that with time, that should calm down?? Sometimes I wonder if damaged but not dead outer hair cells that intensify sounds are misfiring, and if that’s the case I want them literally killed all the way rather than half alive and causing fluctuations.

    It's time and patience we all need for resolution. Trouble is, who can endure this suffering patiently?

    I do wonder if interventions make much difference to the final outcome?

    Ears appear to do whatever they want regards tinnitus. It's as if we just need to sit by, wait and "enjoy the ride" before healing/habituation takes place?

    @Jupiterman So true. It’s even harder with the world around us. Cutting edge technologies, instant satisfaction and solutions for so many things, the constant go go go of society. But nothing to bring safe, long lasting relief or resolve with these conditions? Insanity.
