@Strawberryblonde, lots of stress. Ailing parents that I need to care. I have my own family. Also TMJ gets worse with stress. Saw ENT. Said it would likely go away. Need PT again for TMJ.
Definitely work on them tmj muscles and start slowly and light and build up those exercises. Also a nice hot and cold compress of the jaw hinge for inflammation.
I'm being referred to a tmj specialist and it can't come soon enough :) gotta filling to get through first. @Forever hopeful
@Strawberryblonde, interestingly my ENT does not think that TMJ treatment will help MEM. But since @NYCGuy, saw Dr. Santos in Boston, who really is the authority on the subject, I’m going to listen to what he posted about TMJ being a causative factor.
@NYCGuy, Thanks for your comment. What medications can cause MEM? I have read online the main causes are exposure to really loud noise or stress/anxiety, Stress/ anxiety is
me for sure. Plus TMJ and a weak ET, especially in the affected ear.
@Forever hopeful I'm doing good this week. Feeling the closest to my old self than I have in a long time :) is anything helping you with your MEM at the moment?
@Strawberryblonde, so happy to hear you’re doing better. Fingers crossed that it continues. My MEM isn’t too bad right now. I usually get it every 2 days. The anxiety of waiting for it to happen is worse I think than when it happens. I’ve also developed an eye twitch on that side as well. Trying to massage my jaws fir TMJ. I also take a small dose of clonazepam and I think that that helps with the MEM
