My ears been doing some weird shit I woke up with 4 loud tones then a even louder episode of fleeting Tinnitus that lasted ten seconds then faded away taking all the tones with it. Stayed like that all day. Was out all day now laying down and have whispers level hissing. Mild H and no TTTS.. Today was bizarre. Maybe god let me have this one day for my little man's birthday

Amazing!! So happy you got to enjoy your son’s bday :) I truly believe these are the signs of healing. Even if you have a harder day tomorrow, know that doesn’t mean todays progress is over or cancelled. Just beginning :)

@ErikaS some might argue that sound therapy is just a fairytale but my opinion is we need to expose ourselves to moderate low sound environments. Being in absolute silence is beneficial for healing but also introducing low sounds are also beneficial. Visiting moderate noisy parks seem to be boosting my sound tolerance. Yesterdays activities caused no spike

I think your fleeting tinnitus during the night was your brain deliberately acting to destroy these four tones. I think your brain is figuring this out. Just be careful of loud sounds; in a few months you could be in a very good place.

@Sammy0225 I completely agree with you. Although many factors go into how my T presents, on days where I have minimal sound or sit in silence for a little while in my house, it’s like that sometimes makes my reactivity/sensitivity worse/more noticeable. I’ve just realized this recently. It’s honestly better for me to stay busy and around some constant low sound exposure. Again, this is my experience.

@Jupiterman i love the thought of fleeting T trying to reset/troubleshoot/destroy the evil T sounds. Wish someone could prove that for us lol!

@ErikaS I agree also mine is somewhat the same if I deprive myself of any sound my spikes seem to be more sensitive to noise. Today was another successful day I just came back home from a noisy park with no spike or reactivity. If it keeps up like this I should have some stability to live a semi-nomal life. I can only hope. Yes the fleeting T wiped them all out almost like cleaning the slate

    What is "fleeting T?"

@SarahMLFlemmer 'Fleeting T' is a sudden temporary tone that can last from a few seconds to a few hours. Your ear usually goes temporarily deaf when these occur. No one truly understands why they happen or the purpose they serve (if any). This has lead many to guess/hypothesise.

@SarahMLFlemmer when one or both ears have a really high pitch Eeee for a few seconds before it fades out and away.

@SarahMLFlemmer I think almost everyone, including non tinnitus folk, experience fleeting T. I have yet to meet someone who has never had it. And yes you can usually hear “the world around you” still :)
