That thought at the back of your head and the worry just steals from what should be a fantastic day. Hopefully one day when we get this "cure" that you will be able to enjoy Disney again in all its entirety :) @BrOKeN_1

@AnthonyMcDonald imagine? No I was there bud. Was it a good idea? Maybe not. I understand your frustration with a post like this tho. Obviously I'm not dealing with the hell that hyperacusis and the likes bring. I hope one day very soon you and many other friends on this forum will feel they are ready to take risks. With protection of course.

@BrOKeN_1 Why do you say you didn't enjoy it? What was the issue?

@AnthonyMcDonald on the contrary my friend I did enjoy it. Maybe too much. Although there are many events or rides I would not go on out of fear of extraneous noise.

Yeah I can imagine. I never liked amusement parks to begin with - too crowded

Can I get more info on your experience at Disneyland? Was it loud? How did you protect? I was a pass holder before my T. I’m scared to go. Any tips?

@kingsfan I think it helped that it rained both days I was there and attendance was minimal for disneyland. I'm assuming of course. I used my foam earplugs anytime i went indoors with a crowd. And just dealt with it best I could. For the most part tho I've habituated and or learned to cope. I had a short lived spike for a few days after but I was expecting that so prepared my mind accordingly.

I went to downtown Disney once. The crowd noise wasn't too bad, but there was some loud music playing out of speakers by the D-land hotel. Fireworks show started while I was there and that made me very nervous. I went into a nearby store for escape. I wore my 26SNR custom earplugs.

I had a big spike afterwords, but I'm not sure if it was Dtown Disney or the really busy revolving sushi bar I went too beforehand that caused the spike. I'm most worried about crowd noise, noise playing from the speakers around the park, parade and show noise, and ride volume. Basically everything I guess.

@kingsfan We never made it to downtown Disney. Is it worth it with the kiddos. Going down to Anaheim from Northern Utah takes some planning and we may have missed alot. My first time there. We may go agian in a couple years. The Financial aspects of Disney can be daunting if your not fully committed.
