If you found one who can/will do this procedure. Please let me know because I'm also considering this.

If you're seriously considering this, it will come down to an ENT. Show your doctor the published studies on IGF-1 and PRP, discuss the safety concerns, and look at the peptide version. Above all, discuss dosage and safety concerns. Don't push for it if your doctor doesn't like the risks. @GeraldHenders

@GeraldHenders Growth factors have shown to have efficacy, especially IGF-1, especially through PRP, but it doesn't always work for everybody, and the studies I know of only show efficacy for damage up to 11 months. I'm unaware of any studies that tested year or so damage.

@GeraldHenders PRP is the safest method of growth factors, and carries many of the growth factors that have been studied to work on SSHL etc, but it's so expensive to acquire, & it sometimes doesn't work for people. Stem + PRP might be the best guarantee, but even that is uncertain. So much $$$.

I'm about 3,5 months in. And also have seen the studies on IGF-1. And 40% didn't have any result. But the others had significant improvements. In the study they didn't mention much of the safety concerns. However this is only one study I must say i'm a little hesitant. But the other option for stem + PRP I haven't seen many mentioning (forum/online) improvements? And spending at least 10k or more.

@GeraldHenders Right. Despite there being plenty of credible studies on efficacy of PRP that showed many people benefiting it and why, those here that have done it haven't had any luck. Wish I knew why. Every publication I have read on growth factors that explained the science shows that it should work, but it hasn't for the people here, which frustrates me.

We are literally in a situation where publications around the world have shown promising efficacy and yet people here haven't had such results. Why? I'm not going to make any asinine conspiracy theories, but the fact that it's been like that scientifically doesn't make any sense. @GeraldHenders

I also have no idea why people on here didn't have any good results. The where a few that have had stem cells. Those we haven't seen back on the forum. But can you conclude anything of that? And I know a lot of us are waiting for a cure. But I do not want to wait for another FX-345 or OTO.. to fail :(.

@Artemis2K Were the studies on animals? And were the findings in the study able to be reproduced by other institutions?

@Ryan Scott There have been studies on both humans and animals, one of which included children. Most of them have focused on SSHL as an alternative to steroids. There's one study that has people who had success despite 10+ months of damage.
