I know Zoloft takes a while to have an effect, and you’ve just started your anxiety program. Insomnia and anxiety amplifies this situation so much. I have faith you’ll be in a much better place when you get that under control

I went through a period of Panic disorder and agoraphobia a while back, that was absolutely horrific also. within a few weeks of CBT I was able to sleep better, when I was able to sleep better I was able to cope better and now it’s a complete non issue.

@Lurius Thank you, same to you :(

@Hardwell I’m just having a hard time adjusting to the multi-tones. Different sounds are in different ears. I think you have multiple sounds too so I know you understand. I’m trying to give myself time to let the meds and treatments help, but I’m losing hope

    When do you get distortions?

    Is it from natural sounds?

Is it from artificual sounds like TV or music?

Multi-tones is very very hard to come to terms with. And if you’re like me, you can also “feel” the tinnitus in your ears, like the inflammation of it all can be felt and not just heard. Sending you support girl, try your best to hang in and see if the med will bring you any relief.

My distortions have greatly picked up, but it’s like my T sounds are becoming distorted and louder from noises. This happened with my spike.

@Jupiterman I notice it over the fans in my room, the toilet flushing, running water like the shower, etc. I get a beeping kind of sound and a tornado siren sound over the top of them. It happened randomly exactly 3 weeks ago.

@ErikaS They really are, I know you struggle a lot with them :( My T started with 1 tone but a bunch of new ones developed out of nowhere 3 weeks ago. I keep hoping they’ll go away but the longer they last the more I doubt it

Yep! I also have multi tones in each ear and crazy fluctuations throughout the day. It’s definitely hard to adjust. But there’s nothing we can do about the T. We can however try to get on top of the anxiety

I have distortions too, started nearly a year ago with morse code beeping from flushing and all that, on top of stuff like the fridge being louder due to increased sensitivity to sound, it was maddening at first.

But it does improve over the span of months, I know it's really rough but you're gonna get through this Penny.

@TheCapybara I think I’ve read some posts where you’ve mentioned that. It’s good to hear that it can improve as time goes on, I think that’s the general consensus that I’ve found. It’s just hard in the meantime, which I’m sure you relate to. Thank you for the encouragement :)
