    Tinnitus Since:
    September 2015
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Hearing loss
My T started about the 2nd of Sept. 2015 after having a procedure on my back to kill 8 nerves along the spine. Doctors and ENT say there is no connection, however I think there was. The T was so bad in the beginning I even had thoughts of suicide to get relief. However after using the Notch Therapy, counseling, meds for anxiety and depression I no longer have those feelings.

After going to 4 different audiologist and being told hearing loss caused the T, none of them could give me a definitive Frequency for my T. Was only told it was in the range of 4000Hz and 6000Hz. I tried everything I could to get relieve to no avail. I found a program called "Notch Therapy" here is the link (http://notchtherapy.com) it can be used with your computer, or an mp3 player (that is what I use). It takes a little effort but I have found it very useful. I have rid myself of two of the noises in my ears that was very loud. I am working now on a persistent noise that will be fairly soft when I wake up but get louder and the day go on. If you try it and have question, you can either email the author, or me (ragavitt@msn.com) and I will help if I can. You can use the different noises such as White, Pink, Brown, or you can import music and notch that to listen to. You can combine different sounds together such as Rain, and White noise, or just about anything you want.

Well that is my experience with Tinnitus, I am looking forward to the day when I am able to either get rid on the T or get so I don't notice it.

    Good Luck
