Still in really bad place, totally variable, gave up on patches as wasn't feeling benefit. Still taking clonazepam no longer effective, take pregablin for sleep 3 days a week. What's caused your setback?
It's beyond soul destroying, trying anything new other than previous cocktail? Contentious topic but have you any thoughts on meditation and trying to dampen hyperactivity based on the central sensitisation theory?
Same cocktail of 2 supplements and 2 medications on the regular. I took 5mg of Diazepam yesterday as the sound was so loud and so solid. I started breaking into a cold sweat. I may ask GP to up the Gabapentin. For me it's excellent for reducing stress and taking my focus off the loud ringing without altering neuroplasticity. I have used the patches for a day or 2 at a time. Think they help but not 100% sure.
@Cmspgran been reading about migraine-spectrum central sensitization today. I must admit I find it hard to read and concentrate when it's bad. Do you? This is of interest to me, more for the hyperacusis, because anything over 80db for more than a few minutes, and I'm thrown into a setback. That's not hearing damage and can only be oversentized nerves? Trigeminal complex is the main one in the brain. So something like Mg2, Nortriptyline, Gabapentin, Topiramate would seem to be the way to go. Clonazepam does a good job, but likely for about 3 months on a daily dose? You could revisit the Neuromed approach, although wasting money on a load of supplements other than Mg2 is not necessary if you eat real food. Keep going pal.
