    Hearing loss doesn't equate to how much T or H someone will have.Someone whose nearly deaf can have no T but someone with perfect hearing can have severe T.

    Hidden hearing loss is a good answer as to why this happens.

    But there's still issues with that,my father had great hearing thresholds but really struggled to hear with backround noise.He could hear me clearly in a quiet setting but when we were driving he couldn't hear a word I said to him,he often complained about it.Funnily,he didn't have T or H.

    I don't believe it has anything to do with weakness but more so a different form of damage.
