      Well I have had tinnitus for 17yrs and more recently hypercusis, any suggestions on how to cope as I'm not doing well.

        Have you spoken to any professionals, like a hearing therapist? Sound therapy to increase your tolerance to noise could be a start for H. Have you tried any medication? Some people find a reduction with certain meds, but they aren't long-term solutions (Diazepam, Xanax etc.). Others find benefit with earpiece noise generators. Good luck and God bless!
