    Tinnitus Since:
    2014
    Cause of Tinnitus:
suspect long term Prozac, and/or chronic severe stress
Not sure what started the tinnitus but also have super senstivity to high pitches and loud sounds. Cant sleep without earplugs due to extreme light sleeping. Ear plugs made no difference to the tinnitus, despite what they say. Ive been using them for years now. Its the only way I can sleep as I have a road nearby my flat and very noisy birds at 4.00am.
I was on high doses of Prozac for a very long time; came off the drug due to the tinnitus starting - Im convinced its the drug that caused it. Since coming off the drug Im in the throes of 'protracted withdrawal syndrome'; two and a half years into it with so far no sign of improvement. The prozac was only for mild depression but since quitting I now have very severe OCD, tics, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, panic and phobias. Thanks Big Pharma... for screwing up my life.
