Hey man, saw you were from Belgium as well. I saw some of your posts, including one where you mentioned a Belgian ENT prescribing you piracetam. Do you by any chance remember what the name of that doctor was? I'd be extremely grateful if i could get the contactinformation of a doctor that at least has some idea of what he/she is doing. Thank you!

Hi William, if I recall correctly it was my ENT in the hospital Sint Lucas Gent, don't remember his name but I think it might be standard procedure over there.

Sorry for the late answer guys, I was thinking of indeed making a succes stories post, I wanted to do this for a while to support some of you, but I was afraid that being to "happy" about recovery somehow could "jinx" it.

I'll try to make the post asap but I can tell you this: dramatic improvement happened around 18 months, both in dealing with T and "accepting" as recovery and thus hearing it less. Somehow they are linked pretty closely for me.

Had again something weird the other day, I "cracked" my ear, out of habbit, and it started ringing for a sec or 2. Could that be harmfull?

Je weet dat dat scannen niet zo goed is he ;) maar ik weet dat het wel verschieten is. Mijn t fluctueert trouwens doorheen de dag dus ik heb die schommelingen ook leren negeren.

Weird: T is low (good), but my hearing seems to be a little bit less. Feel like I need to put my volume a bit higher than usual.

anyone using soundpillow? Been using it for 9 months, helps me sleep, could it impact me negative? Speaker is close to ear like a headphone.

I use masking when I feel my anxiety raise and my awareness of T raise, then I put on one of my favorite masking tracks and take "a break" from the T.

Providing the volume of the pillow speaker is kept low there should be no problem. Preferably slightly lower than your tinnitus.

I keep looking for reasons why it is/was worse, I had a friend do a clap a meter from me, might this be enough to give a (temp) spike?

Depends on the sensitivity of your ears and your friend's strength. I do not think that would give me a spike though. I find it strange you are wondering about a clap though, are there not other noises that are louder in your day to day life?

That's my thoughts exactly, but I am not sure anymore. Last time I had such a peak (1 khz) was a week after my initial trauma, I have to say that this peak dissapeared after a few hours though it's still a bit higher.
