I'm hoping this helps, please let us know how it goes as you continue the treatment. I've read some good things about what the VA has been doing with rTMS.

Where are you having treatment, I am in NJ and found a doc in Wayne, NJ who provides rTMS but wouldn't treat my tinnitus, he didn't feel the protocol was developed, regarding location, number of pulses and duration. Can you share the name of the place you are using?
      Thanks
      Dave

Hey Dave, I am currently at Lenox Hill TMS in the Upper East side in Manhattan. They are following the protocol used in a few studies done - they are targeting the autifony cortext with 2000 pulses per session at 1Hz. The intensity of the motor is set at 110% of the individual’s motor threshold.

Just FYI - I can’t say I have had any impact yet. Done 7 sessions so far.

    Tinnitus Since:
    04/2016
    Cause of Tinnitus:
Mild Sensorineural Hearing Loss (25-35 db in 4k-8k)
I have generally been a healthy person, in early thirties. Cause of tinnitus is Mild Sensoneural Hearing Loss (25-35 db in 4khz-8khz). Have met 4 ENTs and 1 TMJ specialist. They have all given me the same diagnosis. My T is actually in very high frequency range, 11Kz-13 khz - lot of noise so unfortunately lot of sound therapies are out. Just like many others, willing to do anything to get rid of T.

Have a LOT of RESPECT and APPRECIATION for this forum and its founders / organizers. Thank you very much!
