Apolonia, I think we all have some degree of hearing loss which will manifest sometime after the onset, six to eight months give or take. I noticed that I have to ask people to repeat themselves multiple times. I cant catch words like they are a jumble or something.

I have bad H on both ears. Loud Tinnitus since Jan 17. Recently I noticed that i am going deaf on the left ear. I loose hearing on that ear completely for a few seconds or so then it comes back.

No improvement...IT changes a lot but not in a way that IT is dissapearing ..

I am sorry to hear that :( have you been trying to exercise? I feel it has helped me with progress.

no... I am just ignoring it... My biggest concern is hearing. I really don't care about tinnitus

I Did not have but IT seems IT turned back.. though IT is not that terrible as before

Me too. Until the new noise trauma last week. it was only tinnitus. This new development is too much.

My ear fullness went away after a few weeks of T, time will heal that for sure.

I wish it was, but the feeling of fogginess is worse than the sound.... I just hate this fogginess that happens :/ like silence has its frequency and the foggy feeling does not let you hear the silence

If you are experiencing hyperacusis, don't do it yet bc hearing aids amplify sounds.. so it may hurt you. But if that is not the case and your hearing is really bad than go and get ones. That is the best option we have. Also, inform me about them and whether they are really helpful with understanding people speak

yes that is a sign of a hearing loss. You should get one. I am sorry you are experiencing this but your life does not end here. There are so many people with far worse hearing loss (up to 80%) and they still play music, even act.

When I saw all these actors I realized that hearing loss is a common thing and is not age related. I felt a little better bc now I know it is normal and I can still live with it.

I did do a caloric test and then exposed myself to some loud sounds like electric razor, hairdryer, ambulance, muffler of a car, fire alarm twice.

Could be the fire alarm... O.o from now on you have to wear earplugs all the time

In your case.. I would ask an audiologist to recommend some hearing aids.. or tinnitus maskers.. if IT is really hard to habituate

Vitamins ginger and Betaserc helped me a lot with my hyperacusis... Tinnitus is Always there and the same... But I did not have ear pain

my tinnitus is a high pitched dentist drill, it is so loud that it makes my left eye hurt.

It is like a bruise. I have it right now, got it from walking next to a muffler (car starting) when going to the store from parking lot.
