You would think that so many people who had recovered from T after more than a month would post about it online, but instead, the number of actual recovery stories(NOT habituation, fully gone, cured, DISAPPEARED) can be counted on the fingers of my hand.
And I would not count the vague "My T is 90% gone!!" , "It is so quiet I can only hear it if I press my head on my pillow", these are not success cases.
And to the people saying, and I will quote a certain Dr. - "You don't read about it on tinnitus support boards - because by and large those folks whose tinnitus fades away on its own accord have no reason to post on such boards in the first place."
You would think that out of 50 million T sufferers in the US, and millions more in other countries - at least a couple thousand would be in these boards as concrete proof of recovery.
I believe most figures in all these studies about T disappearing completely for 70% of people simply had temporary threshold shift and not real tinnitus.
