Were you told that you had pusatile tinnitus for a fact? I should be honest that ENT's are virtually useless for any kind of tinnitus and hyperacusis.

Thank you SO much for the comment.I came to that conclusion myself due to the pulsing nature of the tinnitus. Also an ENT diagnosed me with it.I share your opinion of ENTs!Had awful reaction from NETI saline.Noise is way up!

I have had mild occasional tinnitus for many years . About a week ago it became constant, loud, pulsating (pulsatile tinnitus) even at night; only in the right ear. It was so loud I couldn't sleep for two or three nights.
I have seen my primary doctor who recommended an ENT who I saw last Friday. He has prescribed an MRI and an MRA. I've had MRIs before and the noise was dreadful. I'm afraid to undergo that noise again for fear that it will exacerbate the tinnitus.
Also, the most curious thing is, for the last two days, ordinary noises seem to be magnified, uncomfortably so and my throat and ears feel mildly sore. These aren't symptoms of tinnitus, that I am sure of. Could I have a virus? Also, anyone now anything about Zinc used to control or lessen tinnitus?

I would greatly appreciate any feedback especially regarding any sleep aids. Thanks a lot.
