        It seems that it has returned recently but at a much milder level than before. Mostly I'm still active because I am interested in the subject and like to offer advice or encouragement to others when I can.

        Sorry to hear it’s come back. You said it’s milder. Is it a high pitch ring? Did you have an acoustical trama or just suddenly returned?

        It is a clicking sound which I do not hear constantly, maybe a few times a minute to a few times every hour. It just gradually returned, I don't recall any acoustical trauma that could have made it come back.

        My t started around May 2016 and was fairly active for a little over a year. I noticed that it started going away about the time I started taking 250 mg chelated magnesium daily. By about 2 years from onset, it had gone away completely. I think it was likely caused by a magnesium deficiency, possibly due to vitamin D supplementation.
