I'm one week out from surgery. T/H have been stable. I've had some lower T with the extra sleep I've been getting by recovering at home. Mar 10, 2024

My friend was telling me her son's school decided to surprise seniors with fireworks after graduation. I'm glad I was not there!

@Diesel @Jebbis I was thinking it was good because my previous T was cicadas and I never gave it a second thought, it was so very low that it never bothered me or changed in any way. I was not on a T forum previously so I didn't know it could change.

@DieseI @Jebbis I think it would have stayed that way if I had not had an acoustic trauma. I was thinking it was a good change earlier today but it's kind of gone to an airplane engine sound, which I call static. I feel like I had lost some ground in April when I started getting vertigo, increased T and H.

@Diesel thank you for the info. Setbacks are rough. It's good to know that there's a need to remain cautious. I'll keep carrying my Westones when I'm out and the foam ones for walking outside and when the kiddo is loud. I was hoping that once recovered everything would be ok, but nothing with the ears seem that easy. It's just nice to have a little reprieve from the last 7 months!

Twa, the roadnoise where I live is God awful. I'd love to know if you see much difference in the noise in your house with your new windows.. we have double pane but they must be paper thin, plus the vehicles around here are extremely loud!!! I'm a prisoner in this house and desperately wish I could move. I can't even be in the backyard at all, even with my huge earmuffs, the sound rumbles through my brain.

I do think the triple pane windows help. I need to have two more replaced in the same room. I haven't noticed hearing trucks while sleeping.

The triple pane windows were only supposed to add an additional 20% reduction in sound. I think the reduction has been much higher. In the areas of my house that have double pane windows I can hear trucks with loud mufflers and the bass from car radios passing by much more clearly.

@Sentinel wearing earplugs at night doesn't make your tinnitus louder? It does for me. My family thought just putting earplugs in solved the noise problem in the house. I explained to them, it makes the T louder and I can't hear as well so it's not really a solution for me.
