        I know that situation to well. we cant tell you what to do, but ask yourself if thats worth the risk. Im 20 years old and obviously a lot of my friends go clubbing. But there are many other activities, to do together :)

      What helps with inflammation iv tried msm crystals, tart cherry and Ibuprofen and few others doc has supplied and nothing helps.

        @Blackbird26 i agree about flexeril "not forever" of course. Just to give temporary relief. I'm on 1200mg of tegretol but @no life clearly need a specialist before take any drugs

        If it was me I would want a dexamethasone IT injection right away. From what I understand the best chance to regain hearing. Maybe prednisone also.

        Those injections I had were many years ago and I cant remember if I had an mri done for tmj. Although back then I was told I have tmjd. Now my ENT booked me for some type of mri March 29. We will see haha. Hope you are are doing well.

        I had a mri that showed my jaw has slipped disk and have to have a arthroscopic, I got my date yesterday in the post, really scared incase it gets worse.im doing okay but I think amitriptyline isn't working anymore. How are you coping?

        If you buy capsules instead of tablets you only have to pull them apart over a glass of water and then stir. No need to do any crushing or mashing.

        I'm convinced most serious hearing problems are neurological in nature, and mental health being more of a key factor than acoustic trauma(not to say it is irrelevant).

        The outdoors are typically filled with loud ambient noises that indoor environments do not have. Your mind blocks them out though along with the tinnitus they mask; then when going indoors you hear the tinnitus more distinctly, as the masking sounds go away.

        Doesn't sound like it is :( I know how painful it can be, flares can be brutal and exhausting. I have pain pills for those days but sometimes even they don't work. Do you know the state of your joints?

        Have you made an appointment with your dentist? In most cases tmj resolves on its own.

        I been thinking about trying amitripyline (sarotex) but Tinnitus is listed as a fairly common sideeffect, as with just about every AD. Even more frequent then fluoxetine.
