I saw the guy - Fligor. I think he is suspect. He sells Lenire and sits on the "US advisory board" of Neuromod.

I still do not get the premise behind Lenire. It sounds like a bunch of nonsense. Is it supposed to make everything louder so tinnitus is "drowned" better? That sounds like inducing hyperacusis and makes no sense whatsoever. At least the premise behind Dr. Shore's device makes sense.

My audiologist was very aware of Dr. Shore's device. Standout guy, I guess. Meanwhile he peddles Lenire, though he is smart enough to not offer it to me.

The issue with Lenire is there's little chance of improvement. With cochlear implants it's about 70-75%. Plus if they can preserve more residual hearing, a chance of better hearing too.

I know I've been helped by Lenire, but I get it might not help everyone, whereas this is kind of what we've all been waiting for. If you've been thinking of getting Lenire, I recommend holding out for this instead. Hoping we'll all be sleeping without any noise soon.

Thank you but I highly doubt that. The tones the device plays are very quiet; about 5-10 decibels. By comparison a whisper is 30 decibels. In other words, the sounds that the device uses are about as loud as your own breathing. So I'm finding it hard to believe something like that alone could...

FDA may have asked for additional information / corrective actions that took Lenire a long time. Nearly 2 years for approval from submission is laughable for implantable devices, never mind much ‘lower risk’ devices like these.

Any "study" that shows hyperacusis (and tinnitus) cases improving with massive amounts of time are scams. Hyperacusis especially improves with time on its own.

I doubt that. As stated many times here before, the trial for Shore's device was double-blinded placebo controlled. Lenire did not feature a placebo group. That is one of the biggest things that sets them apart and why they should be more confident in their product. After all the hard work...

When you say many severe sufferers, do you mean 3 or 4, or more like 30-40? I know you have had tinnitus much longer than me, suffered longer, and had more conversations than me, so I trust your judgment and respect your commentary. I wonder how many you have encountered.

Sadly no - Lenire will do a booming trade in the USA. That is why we have to get the word out there to protect buyers who think it works because they got FDA approval.
