1 Second Spike in Tinnitus Just Before Sleep

      This started happening this year, just before I doze off I get a one second spike in my tinnitus - what's going on?

      Is it because I wake up a bit and remember I have tinnitus and that's when I get a spike?

      Loud music at concert
      Are you sure it's a spike and not just Exploding Head Syndrome? Sometimes I'll hear a very loud beep just as I'm drifting off to sleep. It's annoying, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. In my case it only really happens when I go to bed with heightened stress levels.

      It's still my high pitched tinnitus, just louder for a second
