20+ Years with Tinnitus

I have had tinnitus about for 20 yrs, I noticed I had a hard time opening my jaws. It felt every time I opened my jaws my face felt tight. Then once opened my jaws real wide and heard a POP then I heard a small hissing sound.

I thought nothing of it then about 2 yrs later I went to ENT. The diagnosis was tinnitus, advice was stay from loud noise.

Unfortunately I did not take his advice until now. I am getting this tinnitus spike now after being around loud music.

@reggie green - The ENT might want do an MRI to rule out anything more serious.

I would try to get a high dose (at least 60mg/day) of Prednisone for 2 or 3 weeks. A lot of people seem to respond positively to that. If your anxiety is out of control I'd recommend a benzo and taking that as needed.

what do ppl do for spike the last two lasted about 2 weeks, I took melatonin and valium
