unknown, started the moment I woke up from a nightmare.
I was talking with my neighbor about wisdom tooth dentists, and told me she is a close friend to a reputable dental surgeon; she sent her my panoramic dental photo, this what the surgeon literally replied, note that we did NOT mention my tinnitus to her:

“Your upper wisdom teeth are pushing against your upper nerves, if you keep them they will surely hurt your hearing and ears”.

      I was pleasantly shocked!
Then I told her about my tinnitus, and she said it’s very likely the cause.

I hope that’s really the culprit!

That is interesting @MuffinMan. Get a second opinion just because.

Are you having pain because of your wisdom teeth?

I had my upper wisdom teeth (had an extra wisdom tooth) on the side where I have my tinnitus and it didn't seem to make a difference in my tinnitus. However, you said you got your tinnitus after a nightmare, I wonder if it is possible you were clenching your teeth really hard during a dream and caused it to hit a nerve. At any rate, I hope you find a treatment for your tinnitus, no matter the cause.

Actually I am sleeping with a mouthguard lately since I am suspecting that.

      No, no pain.

Did you get T after a dental surgery?

Yes. I was uninformed about anything surgical and dental work. I did not do my homework on the specialist. I just went in because my dentist told me where to go. It was a root canal from hell that took my life as I knew it in one single day.

I got the two upper wisdom teeth removed , I still have the two lower ones since they are impacted.

Much improvement ever since, my T is barely audible in most days (even at night in total silence). I am still putting a mouthguard due to a suspected bruxism though and still avoiding salt.

However, I am still getting a lot of 'fleeting Tinnitus' during the day, a sharp loud kettle sound that last for 5-6 seconds, it happens in right ear more often than left, I know it happens for everyone but it's happening for me like 5-6 times a day lately.

      Fuck if I know
My wisdom tooth started growing in the past year so did my tinnitus start at that time. Do you think that if this was the cause of my tinnitus it could not get cured if I don't remove them fast enough?
