That's an excellent paper to print out and bring to your specialists. It includes a good case study of how things can be missed as well as a checklist for specialists to go over to ensure they haven't missed anything.

@Haley Hi Haley - it's a good paper - I had also posted it. They talk about the below, but with 48% of causes mentioned, more emphasis needs to placed on this.
Newer research focus on the internal jugular and vertebral arteries where they have moved causing partial blockage. Often with PT, C spine injury has involvement and the vertebral artery. Also the thyroid can cause sounds as it associates directly to the same regions of the brain as tinnitus does.
