Okay so I have my normal tinnitus, that is swooshing and sometimes high-pitched... depends on many things.

But when I block my right ear, it generates a new tinnitus. It goes away if I unblock it again. I listened very carefully this morning and I noticed that I can hear it very very little even unblocked.

It's easy to distract, I haven't even noticed it before... but it really freaked me out when I noticed I can actually hear it. I don't want any new sounds or anything that can make this worse. I'm already in pain, I feel OKAY sometimes and sometimes I feel like dying / crying... whatever.

THIS scared the crap out of me today.

My other ear does not do this.

      What's going on?

I think it's pretty normal for tinnitus to change sounds when you plug it/block it.

Yeah i don't really know. My other ear doesn't do it.

But my other ear creates a new tinnitus when i block it.

It's so weird. Its been doing it for weeks thought.

I have a high pitched tinnitus in my both ears but when I wear earplugs I sometimes hear a very annoying morse code like beeping in my left ear, I don't usually hear it when I take off my earplugs. The sound isn't always there but when it is, it scares me. It disappeared for a month and it came back after surgery under general anesthesia... The sound is only in my left ear and it goes away (most of the time) when I don't plug my ears. No idea why this happens.
