Last sunday I got it, it started off very faint but grew, not too loud but loud enough and would fluctuate during the day and night, night being worse, and recently morning being VERY faint. but now it seems to be very low and unnoticeable almost. Outside sounds make it peak a bit, not sure if thats a bad sign of it wanting to be here for good but usually by now it's very bad, I won't know til I try to sleep, but it seems to be fading..

How I think I got it, was by rolling up a paper towel to form a "spike" and twisting it inside, hitting the ear drum a few times, couple hours later, the T formed, can't be a coincidence, or it could be..

I'm just not sure what's happening

Did you experience any bleeding or see the doctor for possible perforation? I have a traumatic perforation and tinnitus started about a day later. Hoping it fades as yours has so far! Good luck!

Maybe you damaged your ear drum with the paper towel, caused the tinnitus and now the drum is healing your tinnitus might go away.
I hope it does for you, don't put anything in your ear again!

I'm not sure how the ear drum works but my general prac said it looks the same as the other, and he used one of those VERY old scopes

Ok, so the eardrum must not be perforated.
You can only give it time, the fact it is getting quieter is a good thing.
I'm sure you will be fine.

Why would you do that? Did an insect get in and you wanted to take it out? Was your ear canal itching? Were you high?

Felt full of earwax and the sound was muffled, happened hundreds of times before.

Next time, dissolve your earwax with saline water, olive oil, or ear wax softening drops. That's safer than poking inside.

Or get your doctor to take out the earwax for you, but they should soften it first before attempting to take it out. Also, some people got T from microsuction, so be careful.

Hopefully, your T goes away once the wax goes away. Good luck.
