      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Noise
So recently I went to a testing center to take one of my GED tests and was put in a room with a bunch of Dell computers (possibly 30 computers). I was worried my tinnitus would be affected by the sounds emitted from the inner components of the computers but I wasn’t 100% sure if I could hear them as the air was cranked up drowning most sounds.

I am now worried that the computers were actually making that low but high-pitched sound the whole time and might have contributed to damaging my ears further that will eventually cause my tinnitus to get louder. Could this be true and actually happen?

Many people have tinnitus that reacts to external sounds and gets louder as mine does. For most of us we return to baseline after the exposure. My computers used to do this before I modified them to be quieter. Use common sense ear protection and stay out of very loud situations whenever possible until your ears settle down and then you may be able to relax your approach.
