Hi everyone. I'm new here but not to tinnitus. I have had tinnitus for 30 years. I have total hearing loss in left ear and profound hearing loss in right ear but still enough to manage a career. The left ear went from a steady minor tinnitus to a more noticeable tinnitus the last 6 months after an increased high pitch hearing loss in the right ear. I wear my hearing aids day and night to mask the sound which is working. Increased blood flow due to strenuous exercise is reason for the left ear's fluctuations per my doctor.

ANY TIPS ON BRINGING MY TINNITUS DOWN TO BASELINE? In the past, Apple Cider Vinegar and water have worked. I need a plan B now.

Hi @Cycler -- You might want to check out an interesting post on HELICHRYSUM OIL. After I read this post, I started applying this essential oil to my ears, which did seem to settle them down. I also apply DMSO around my ears daily, as I believe it also settles things down by reducing inflammation and increasing circulation. -- All the Best...

stress/adrenalin + forgetting to breathe enough when online
I'll put this on here as it caught my eye with the hearing aids mentioned...

I did 4 years research into self healing and the power of the mind recently, so now I can consider myself a self healing specialist, not as in what you can eat or drink, but with knowledge to help others - eat sensibly with less meat its low vibes 'vibrational energy' food - we need to get those personal vibes up.

You've heard of the phrase talk to your body, well I talk to mine directly e.g., my cells fighting viruses, where bugs are hiding, using the power of my mind... So to over hyperacusis and tinnitus - I had both 5/6 years ago so bad headphones on and plugged up, avoiding fans, turning freezers off, avoiding diesel engines, and the stress went up and up...

I'm pushing 70 now - I've done some miles on this planet... And sometimes on our life journey we get stumbling blocks, and if we can learn an push through them, we become stronger / wiser.

At my worst my new tinnitus specialist as I'd waited ages for, gave me hearing aids.

So many months into my research, my learning - I didn't need plugging up anymore but wore the hearing aids - never listened to pink noise for more than a few moments.

But I learned stuff... 12 months into my learning an hour a day as a hobby, I gave the hearing aids back to the specialist and never seen her again - and zero meds or docs now for 4 years.

Over the 2 first years I became 99% clear of hyperacusis and still am - I retrained my sound system - but the head has to be in good shape - Ed feeling good...

So talking to your body - and head why not 'how are you today then Ed' - ok take that as a no go then... I've said that a few times - if Ed is stressed then tinnitus will be up - mine was yesterday, I'd overdone it online so tinnitus was up a notch - so today pacing myself, just this message here so far today, gave helping elsewhere a rest, and remind myself 'to breathe' - and plenty of water 'no stress' steady online - and tinnitus is down again.

I hope this helps someone, have a good day, or maybe tomorrow or next week eh - good luck all.

Hi @Cycler, I also have hearing loss, in my case it's bilateral and severe and I also have severe tinnitus. I wear my hearing aids day and night too. Recently my tinnitus worsened like yours and am having a bad time.

@Cycler, I just read your post from over a year ago. Cochlear implant(s) sound like the solution. Have you considered?
