      Tinnitus Since:
      11/2002; spike 2009; worse 2017-18
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Loud music - noise damage
      Is it just me?
I’ve had tinnitus almost 16yrs and couple of characteristics never changed:
      1. Very sensitive to noise and easily aggravated by it
      2. Whenever it spiked, it never really settled back - just stayed at that level
      3. Each spike made corresponding Recruitment worse and therefore more susceptible/vulnerable to further spikes.
Tried rTMS in Sussex last month (self funded) 5 sessions over 3 weeks. Made tinnitus much much worse :(

The biggest challenge is this danger of getting worse - hence no point in trying rehabituation therapy. But doctors never convinced by this.

Anyone else in similar boat? Any advice? (Particularly struggling now)
