I have seen many people get rid of their tinnitus just by cleaning up the home's "dirty electricity". You probably are thinking what the heck is that? Well, it's harmonics riding on the 60 cycle sine wave and is produced by solar inverters, dimmer switches, variable speed motors, CFL bulbs, and other non linear loads.

Think of electricity as water. Clean water no problem, same as electricity. It comes into your home either clean or dirty and some of the devices mentioned above dirty it up. Electricity penetrates the skin once the frequency is over 1.7 kHz.

How do you clean it up? Filters. I use Stetzerizer but some use Greenwave. These filters placed in the right locations smooth out frequencies known to effect the ion channels and create nerve block in the nervous systems.

I hope this helps you as it helped me and has for many other tinnitus sufferers.

Don't be so quick to dismiss this. Electrosmog is a real thing, has been discussed since the early 90s (maybe 80s?), and it definitely does affect some people and cause a variety of symptoms.

I know an electrical study made some people's tinnitus(chronic ones) go away and some got great reduction from it also. I really do not know why scientist do not look into it.

Yes, I agree. Sure, people have been afflicted since before electricity, but since there are all sorts of causes and manifestations with tinnitus, it is entirely possible that the electromagnetic stuff can be afflicting a new subset of sufferers. I'll bet it causes other kinds of harm in those who are susceptible, too.

A trivial test to see if your tinnitus is being affected by EMFs: take a week off from work and go camping someplace where you don't have a cellphone signal and are at least a quarter mile from high-power lines. What happens to the noise? In my case, the answer is "nothing".

These devices don't actually do anything, unfortunately. You can't remove harmonics from house wiring by putting a filter onto a power plug. People on internet forums have taken these devices apart to see what's inside them, and it's just a scam. Though, if you get unlucky they might burn your house down:

I have never heard of these devices. And as an engineer, I too am very sceptical about anything that magically eliminates invisible smog. However, quickly googled it and the reviews of these things on Amazon and Co. are suprisingly consistent - and very positive :cyclops:.

I can definitely say that "electrosmog" has a strong influence on the intensity of the T, at least in my case. What I have started is to switch off electricity during night, incl. WLAN, wireless moues/keyboard, etc. It has not cured me, but has brought significant relief for me during nighttime.

I will look into these "dirty electricity filters" when I find the time...would like to understand what they exactly do.

This should always set off alarm bells. Vast quantities of Amazon reviews are bought and paid for by the companies producing whatever the product is.

many of these devices emit ultrasonic sound; before you conclude that it's the EMFs that are causing your tinnitus, it might be worth trying to make a high-quality audio recording of your living space when these devices are on, and off, and use a spectrum analyzer like spek to look for an actual acoustic cause.

If you're actually being impacted by EMFs there are a variety of shielding fabrics available for high costs, which people use to make bed canopies with. I'm pretty skeptical of all of that stuff, but, there have been a handful of studies which have led me to believe that humans in general may be impacted by ambient fields in ways which are not yet understood. Needs more study.

Yeah once you've got T you need the as of yet invented cure, turning off the computer is good but we probably need something with a little more kick

@sleepbiology Thanks-- I will try to get one to see if it helps. I bought a frequency counter (used for ham radio tuning) So I can see that something is going on that coincides with elevation in my T. I'd been doing a little better until tonight. My T was shrill and even my eyeballs hurt. So I dragged out the freq counter. The readings were high, ranging between 300 to 470 KHz--highest near my window on the curtain rod. I tried grounding the rod but that only brought it to @200KHz. With all elec stuff turned off there was no diff.
I left for awhile --on return it was jumping at 1.8, 1.5, 1.3 KHz but then climbed quickly to 17 and then 25KHz for no obvious reason. I left for about ten minutes. When I came back I didn't turn the lights on and the counter was at 0!!!! I turned the lights on and it jumped a bit and then settled back down to 0. Just a while ago, another heat sensation --heard the fridge running. The counter read 131KHz. The frig hadn't been running earlier because I unplugged to see if it was the problem. -It's been about a half hour --counter is back down to 0. I wonder if the Smart Meter might be doing something like running the fridge or taking inventory of electric use at night. I don't quite understand exactly how SM work or the term dirty power....How do your plugs work? Do you need one for every circuit?

Has anyone ever taken a Stetzerizer apart. I would be interested to know what is actually inside. I'm guessing nothing more useful than thin air and goodwill, but it would be interesting to know.

      Hi all.
Discovered this link this morning when researching cervicogenic somatic tinnitus, but it also talks of electromagnet field hypersensitivity, so dirty electricity/wireless vibes, whatever; the findings are that if a sufferer of this hypersensitivity, the tinnitus may be made a lot worse.
Hope you find the link helpful.

The last webinar from the American Tinnitus Association, which was broadcast 7/12, showed really interesting results from AC stimulation.
If I recall the results (the webinar isn't available yet on their website), they were stimulating the ear for 10 minutes. After 2 minutes, neither the AC stimulus nor the T was heard by the patient anymore. After 10 minutes of stimulation, T didn't come back up, and it stayed that way for 5 hours.
It was a very interesting path to go down. I wonder why there aren't more studies around that, as it's topical and doesn't require any meds, and with any luck, can be done without requiring any surgery (for deeper placement of the electrodes).

If I remember the ATA webinar well, there was a mention that DC was abandoned in favor of AC, that seemed to be more effective.

Thanks, I haven't looked into it much yet but this is already a great tip to start with.

I mean, all I have now is all the required equipment, I'll have to think about how to use it later on.

Going out on the limb here--to admit this---but got out camping gear and there's was the emergency blanket...the aluminum mylar in a box. My T was through the roof. Opened the box and wrapped up including my head and T nearly disappeared.
