I've had tinnitus for a couple of months now. I recently went to a neurologist who had an EEG and MRI performed. He said that my EEG showed some spikes and that I'm at risk for seizures. He suggested that it may be the cause of my tinnitus and prescribed a low dosage anti seizure drug. He also mentioned that my MRI showed that I had mild sinus issues. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with tinnitus & seizures?

No, I fell asleep while they were doing it and didn't notice any change when I woke up.

Electroencephalogram. It measures the electrical activity of your brain.
