First of all so easy you can get tired of people and their behavior... Idiots.

I was going to the shop today already anxious because i am tring to handle my OCD. So from nowhere do i hear this BANG BANG, I quickly reached for my ears to protect myself, people looked back and they were shocked just like me. a dog got scared.

I appreciate the sound to be 140 dB. Engine backfiring.
I have appreciated my distance from the sources to be maybe 30 meters. This is just a guess because I never did see the motorbike (could be a car I guess but sounded like a motorbike).

Got instant panic and all of that. 1 hour later now.
No tinnitus but sounds seems to be dampened. A slight feeling of fullness and all of those scary signs which can indicate on DAMAGE.

      When you least expect it....

Thanks in advance and sorry if my english is bad

      EDIT:
      A more realistic measurement is 40meter +

I sounded like a bang, there was one loud bang then another ,quieter and i covered my ears. What if it was a pistol? then is it 160++ at the source and like 135 at 30meter!!!!

Go take some NAC and Magnesium... Prednisone if you haven't use it this year.
You're probably more than fine though otherwise you'd have T already

You can buy NAC at any pharmacist. I take about 1800 mg for a couple of days after loud noise exposure.

My mom had acetylstein a while ago for her asthma.

Is this the thing i need to be more sure of nl damage.. Damn you need prescription in Sweden and you need to take it quickly after the damage

It is indeed regulated in this country... you cant even buy circadin in sweden without prescription.

I know my mother used it and it is so annoying that i could save my hearing but that i cant because something so tedious.

      Feeling scared now.

I think i have damping in hearing with maybe 10%?!? who knows.

all i know is that i heard a bang and it was loud. I got scared.
I was once 3 meter from an ambulance and that hurted, this was much shorter and didnt feel pain?!?
      But still 140db at source

And it could be much much louder. we dont know after all.

skada.

A document from the swedish navy, 4hour after trauma does it say.

Do they also mention a dose?

Perhaps if you order online you can somehow circumvent the prescription?

I could but they wouldnt be here before 3 days which is what you need to take them before its to late for effect.

I take vitamins and minerals at high doses, what about acetylsalicylacid? Aspirin?
Some sources from 2006 which says they can be good to take. 10 years and there are constantly comming new studies so whats the opinion of today on aspirin at noise trauma?

I am lying here in my bed , i wouöd like to say the dampening has gone away a little bit but my mild tinnitus have increased?!

      Well i dont know.

All i know is that most sources are talking about 140db when engine backfire and there are plenty of videos on youtube with degenerates who measures decibel and 140 seems to be a max at absolute source.

I was around 50 meter from the place, i dont know exactly but the roads dont allow cars to be nearer from where i was..

So it should be max 110 decibel.

However everything above 85 db is not acceptable. Atleast in my head

Well, in principe you could take 8 hours of 85 dB and with each 3 db increase you have to devide the duration of exposure by 2. But I guess our ears are more sensitive.
I am actually also freaking out about something like 110 dB now.

I also encountered it about a month ago, it's very loud. Usually some idiot with a pimped up car believing he can get all ladies with his car.

It is natural to have a reaction to loud sound after developing tinnitus. It's more a misophonia to loud sounds in general that causes it. Given enough time and habituation you will find loud sounds will have less of a reaction to your state of mind. You should still put your fingers in your ears, but try not to get stressed about specifics such as dbs, you need to give you brain a rest, rather than overthink it? Are you taking any steps to reduce your anxiety?

A 140dB explosion is a possible acoustic trauma (T or not), I don't see the overthinking here.

A blast is dangerous because the ear has no time to activate it's protection mechanism

I'd rather take a longer but quiter sound exposure over any blast / bang

I learned it the hard way with firearms

That's why they developed a system to emit a noise before an airbag explosion - so that the ear can prepare for a louder sound to come

Today when i waked up did i hear some tinnitus in my left ear and i found a brown small spot on my pillow. Could it be from thebtrauma while i sleept?

Loud sounds have always been a trigger for me since childhood, while not always it came with some tinnitus i guess.
If it went over or if i habituated is another question.

Yesterday was just a bang from nowhere, got instant panic about my hearing.
Engine backfire is around 140db. But i was pretty far away.
Realisticly did i maybe experience 110db.

But all i see is damage because some degenerate want to have some fun

Is my little theory even possible?

I mean high sound then broken ear drum in sleep 12h later? Woke up and my bed was wet from sweat, then did i notice a spot later today on my pillow, it is brownish, where the ear could been.

Broken eardrum is not just "it fix it self", you actually get scares which decrease your hearing every time it happens. So big worry

will i need to go to the doctor tomorrow for this doesnt even seem to add up....

Time to buy a new par of cheap headphones which isolate..

This is the scary part how the .... do you know when you will get exposed to a degenerate who creates 140db.

Have been looking at youtube and there are those total retards who honk train horns at people. 150db. Good bye hearing and hello life long tinnitus

      Update 8 months later....

I was googling stuff about the Town i live in and apparently there was a person showing a handgun and firing the weapon atsome schoolkids in the Town 3 months Before i Heard the bang.

The police didnt find any signs but what if there actually is a gangster firing a handgun in the city and this very time i Heard the bang it was a hadngun firing.

IN THAT CASE THERE WAS 155decibel around 30-40 meters from where i standed!!
So i was atleast exposed to 125decibel where i standed!

      125decibel is very dangerous
