I have this sound that sounds like a light saber or fog horn. It starts and stops but is not in sync with my heart beat. When I talk it totally stops. When I lay down it gets much louder. It's not there all the time. Does anyone else have this or know what it is?

I get the light saber. It's by far the most annoying of my noises. Thankfully its only some days. I wish I could say it settles down. It hasn't yet.

Over the past week, this sound has been more constant. It started out as an on and off light saber sound. Now when I am still it is constant. It sounds like a loud foghorn or droning. It stops if I am moving or talk. It is much louder than my other tinnitus. There is a vibration with it. When it starts and stops I feel a thumping. I am looking for anyone who has this sound and knows what it wrong with them to post something here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

It could be patulous Eustachian tube

If the Eustachian stays open (Patulous) as from physical abnormality, one will likely experience another type of objective tinnitus: described as an ocean roar or hollow effect, like a sea shelL

If anyone else has had this, I think I have found a way to keep it at bay. I have been using a saline nasal spray throughout the day. It seems to have helped. Doesn't do anything for the rest of my T though.

So what exactly saline helps in your case?
      Drone noise?

@Jkph75 glad you've found a way to keep it at bay.
My first week with Tinnitus I had a light sabre noise that would stop when I put ear muffs on or blocked my ear.
My audiologist thought Tonic Tensor Tympani Syndrome.
Mine only lasted a week on and off.
