      Afternoon everybody.

      I got tickets for the lion king as birthday present for my partner in May, I booked a hotel for the weekend and arranged a few other bits as well.

      I’ve seen the show once before and remember it being a bit loud even before my tinnitus.
      I’m bit concerned as I wouldn’t want to leave half way through and spoil the weekend and as it cost a fair few quid, should I just not go and let them go with a friend? I’m really stuck in what to do and it’s making me anxious (which I was never before I got this tinnitus)

      Thanks guys.

      Take hearing protection with you, and don't hesitate to use it if you feel the need.

      @GregCA

      I will if I go, but I’m so anxious about spoiling the whole thing if I get up and leave. I could feel different nearer the time but at this moment I think I’ll let them go with a friend.

      It would probably be OK with hearing protection, but I'd be nervous myself at this point and would probably avoid it.

      I’ll see how I feel nearer to the time, I remember it being loud last we went. It’s a surprise and I totally forgot about it until I was speaking to my friend about his wife’s birthday.

      I know, I’m sure I’ll feel better nearer the time. Just overthinking things at the moment.

      @Jcb,
      I went to a James Bond concert a couple of weeks ago.
      A man and a women singing and a lovely brass band.
      Had my plugs in and I enjoyed it knowing I might have been the only one looking after my ears.

      That’s sounds like fun, was it all the James Bond themes?
      It’s amazing, since I got this I never realised how much I didn’t take notice of loud sounds and would never of thought of protecting my ears before.

      It was all the theme songs from all the bond films and was fantastic.
      The man sang the male songs and lady sang the Women songs and wow she could belt them out...
      Top night.
