Had Tinnitus for 40 Years

I have suffered tinnitus since senior year of high school. I believe it started with an accident in a HS physics lab (loud explosion from a ruptured speaker). I don't remember noting it then, but I have suffered with constant ringing in both ears for close to 40 years. It is loud and constantly noticeable to me. Somehow I have learned to live with it, but wish I could find some relief. I have tried the typical on-line pills, etc. The only offer I have received from ENT's is a white noise masking device. No thanks.
