Hello All!
First of all say hello to all of you and you have my support and empathy for the tinnitus suffering. I hope we are getting closer to get a cure, I believe in the next years there will be more options for all of us, at least to treat the symptoms.
Said so, here is my case I would like to share with you:
My boss invited us to an outdoor shooting range the 16-7-2017; as a vegetarian and peace friendly person, I did not shoot a single shot, and I stayed at 7 meters aproximately from the shooting, after the time I spent there, my ears become all blocked and I could heared things at a lower volume.
I had 3 audiogram tests in the next following four weeks, the first ones were between the 15 db and 20 db, and the last one i was between 0 db and 10 db, I also did above 8khz to 20khz hearing test after 3 weeks and the audiologist told me that I was the highest scoring person for 12 years they had the machine. I compared my hearing tests with ones I had from 8 years ago and the third audiogram was exactly the same, slightly better. Anyway, the first two audiograms showed Eustachian Tube Dysfunction.
It was until seeing an ENT after 2nd week that asked if I had a Tone Ringing, since then I searched for them and found sensations, crickets, like a computer harware and whistling. It has been minor, and only noticeable at night, very slightly in the day during some time, but very minor. Anyway, it its disturbing to know the fact that you have something there. My personality is very perfectionist, and somehow Obsessive in a positive way.
Last week, since Monday, my sensations were completely gone, I searched for the noise, but it was gone. The same was for all the week and Saturday it came back strongly, after a very stresfull week at work.
I don't know where this will take me, I hope my T will gradually fade. Vitamin E works really well, also magnesium.
I just wanted to say hello to all of you, and give you force, I'm pretty sure the following years much of T will be understood and new symptoms management drugs will be released in the market.
I also wanted to share with you, is hyperbaric oxygen a good therapy for tinnitus with no hearing loss? Would your risk to do it?
Additionaly, someone tried Betahistine in this stage?
I don't want to mess my ears more, so i wanted to ask all of you about this two options.
Thank you for your support and best regards
Álvaro
