      If I thought I had it bad before, wow! Sounds like a dentist drill, came on all of a sudden.
      It is one of those spikes that last a few seconds and you go whew when it goes away.
      Still waiting..:( when all of the T stuff started I never thought it would still be going on.
      Now I have reached a new tone high. So, so hard isn't it? Nowhere to go for relief makes it even scarier.
      Thanks for the shoulder everyone.

      Leah,

      Hugs to you!! I'm so sorry, and hope it goes away soon. One thing that helps me when my tinnitus is awful is to go outside; somehow it helps to hear outside noises -- even when it's cold outside. Another thing you can try is to take a long shower; during that time, hopefully, you won't notice the T at all.

      Take care, and I hope your spike settles down soon!

      @Leah,
      How are you doing today? Hope your tinnitus spike has settled down. I've just been reading on another thread about a product called Mute Button. Do you have any hearing loss in your tinnitus ear(s)? It is supposed to be helpful to people who have hearing loss and tinnitus, and the product is going to be available some time next year.

      At least there's some hope out there on the horizon for us!!

      Best wishes,
      Karen

      How sweet of you to check, still loud. I have an apt with a doc who is a specialist next week .He deals with hearing aids, masking devices. Have already spent so much money, to not avail. I will ask about the Mute Button. thanks
